Do not buy

I bought this straightener in March 2025 and it gave up on me today, May 2026. I’ve had cheaper straighteners last me 4+ years, I’ve barely had this one a year and it just beeps loudly, flashes red, and won’t heat up.

Do not buy

This is the second one I’ve had due (fuse problem) within the last 2 years. Don’t purchase this - it is way too expensive for the very poor quality. So disappointed.

No longer reliable :(

Have ALWAYS purchased GHD hair straighteners - my last 2 have lasted yeeeears and their performance is unmatched (no hair pulling, not having to worry about the temp for my hair, etc). I purchased this one approximately 2-3 years ago and it has stopped working already. I've tried everything to fix it, unfortunately it seems like there is an internal fuse problem. For the price and similar reviews below, I will no longer be purchasing GHD hair straighteners. :(

Damaging your hair and no heat setting. Definitely not recommend anyone to buy as it’s a complete waste of your money and you spend more to grow your healthy hair back

Not worth it!

Its about to make the year on January but my straightener just stopped turning on yesterday! Dont waste your money :(!

Quality went down and breaks so fast

If i could give 0 stars i would. Their old straightners were amazing - this one has a wire issue it seems and broke within a couple months and shuts on and off repeatedly when i use it. I didn’t wrap the wire around the straightener when i put it away, and I’m careful to avoid the wire issue I’ve heard about but it still happened. On top of that, they have no customer service for Canadians, so i have no way of getting help, and Sephora told me they couldn’t help me and i had to go through GHD as well so im at a dead end. DO NOT BUY. Save your money. so many people i know experienced the same faulty wire issue. These cost way too much to break this fast.

Not made like how it used to be

I bought one of these flat irons back in 2008 when my daughter was was born. It lasted me all the way until she was 11 years old with daily use. Since then I have purchase two. Both of them stopped heating up completely.

This flat iron is a quitter!

I have purchased a ghd flat iron on two occasions. Both times they have stopped working after about two years. This is an expensive flat iron and is supposed to be high quality and it’s a shame it quits working without warning leaving you in a hair conundrum in the morning. I purchased a l’ange and am happy with it.

Not worth buying

Too expensive for the price. It feels very cheap and compare to my friend’s $100 Straightener, hers is way better than my GHD. It is very hair damaging too.

Suggested Usage:
-Use on dry hair.
-Section hair into one-inch sections.
-Ensure that the styler is as close to the root as possible before closing the plates.
-Gently move toward the tip of the section in one simple gliding motion.
-Repeat the process with each section of hair, gliding once from roots to ends.
