I loved this flat iron at first but after having it for 8 months it will no longer turn on. At first it began randomly making a chime and stopping working and after this happening 5 times in 6 weeks, it will no longer turn on and will flash red. Very unimpressed.

I think I bought a lemon because this flat iron has no lasting power. I bought this on vacation in Paris and was very happy to buy a flat iron that has dual voltage for use in the US and Europe. On first use, I noticed my hair was showing signs of frizz when I was only halfway done. At this point, I noticed that the iron's temperature had gone very cool! I turned it on and off again and even after several minutes to reheat, it was nowhere near the necessary heat to straighten my hair. I tried a third time with the same result. Sadly, I had to attend the Usher concert with a tragically stiff bob. My hair is tightly curled, but I never have an issue with getting frizz-free straightened hair with the Chi keratin line and my FHI iron that is over 10 yrs old. I followed the exact steps for straight hair in June 2023 and spent 2 weeks in highly-humid North and South Carolina and my hair remained super straight and frizz free. The only difference this time was this garbage flat iron. Warning about buying this from Sephora in Paris: They will refuse to own up to selling a faulty product and not allow you to exchange for a better working straightener. I'm stuck with this trash and I couldn't even get points for it.

This is a great flat iron. I’ve used it for years on my fine curly hair.

Stop working after just over a year :( I had two chi straighteners before this that lasted 8 years each. I don’t even use it every day. So I was really disappointed after deciding to spoil myself and get what I thought was a good quality straightener. So 260$ for just over a year of use isn’t good at all….I did enjoy it when it worked. But not worth the money. I contacted ghd and they said I’d have to fill in a form and pay to mail it to them to see if it’s a defect, if they deem it a defect they will send a new one. I think I’ll just buy another chi instead.

This straightener makes my hair look so shiny and healthy… BUT it doesn’t hold the style for long. Within an hour the ends of my hair have started curling. I also always use my straighteners for curling my hair but I just couldn’t make this one work. The curls were flat and they didn’t last for more than 30 minutes. I wanted to like this because of how healthy my hair looked but for the price, they can do better.

I am so sad! A little over a year of using it, it just stopped working :( While it worked I had no problem, it left my hair looking and feeling amazing and soft... But paying almost 300$ for a straightener that will only last you a year is a real waste! Sephora said they can’t do anything for me and I have to contact GHD directly. So overall good product while it lasted but not worth it... I’ve had cheaper straightener that lasted me longer!

I’m in love! I am Hispanic and have curly thick hair, and have purchase 2x the seductress by sultra (in 10 years) and I wanted something new and better. Decided to give this a try and I am very happy.

I was super excited to try it, but it wasn't what I expected. YES it does makes hair look silky and healthy, but if you goal make hair super straight (mine was) and have a lot of thick hair ( I do) it won't do any better than regular straighter from Walmart. However, for people with not a lot of hair or a lot of time for hair routine it's probably great choice, because it won't burn it.

This flatiron is such a disappointment... after less than a year, it has stopped working. But, even when it was working, it never fully straightened my hair, left it frizzy and full of static and just feels cheaply built. It is light and flimsy and performs in a similar manner. When it broke, I pulled out my older original model (which I kept as a back-up) and it actually worked better than this model ever had... so I just purchased the original model with gold plates --- that model is just awesome. I would caution anyone from buying this product. Very expensive; very poor performance. The lesson I learned? New is not always better ...

Failed in less than a year of infrequent use.. was perfect when was working
