Dryer was great while it lasted. Only about a year old and was drying my hair and the dryer shocked me and started on fire, giving me a large burn on my arm. The cord where it attaches to the dryer completely melted.
Will never buy another ghd product.

Life too short, died after 6 years.
It’s a wonderful fast-drying hairdryer while it still works. I purchased this in 2017, and after just 2 years, something inside it starts to burn and it smelled like plastic whenever I turned it on. After a month of trying to revive it, the sound and plastic smell went away. Maybe whatever was obstructing it has completely burned away, and into the air. It was good for another 5 years, but last week, there’s a problem with it again. It sounded like what other reviewers said that there’s a loud screeching sound that sounded like it was from a horror movie. It was horribly freaky that you would think the hair dryer is going to explode any minute like, with all the metal inside would burst and disintegrate into small bits because the motor is that powerful.
I even went to the lock and key store to open it up to salvage it but the sound was very telling that it was incredibly dangerous to turn it on again.

I got this hair dryer in 2018 and it just died today so it lasted a good amount of time so if that's a concern for you this will not let you down. On a related note though when it died it screamed, like we're talking horror movie scream, I was not ready for that.
Gave it 4 stars because it could be stronger, I do have very thick hair so people with finer hair should be more than happy with it.
This blow dryer is absolutely fantastic and would be comparable to the Dyson supersonic. it has amazing output and a cooling button when pushed that lasts how ever long you desire. I am a bleach blonde and my hair has never looked healthier. I have tried my sister's Dyson and in all reality there isn't a difference in outcome. I am a GHD girl for life. yes it has a pricey price tag but is alot less then the Dyson ànd has outlived many Dyson's in comparison. I also own the 2" GHD straightner which was bought at the same time as the blow dryer and is still in MINT condition. ( my hair is down the middle of my back) drying time is less then 20 mins and three different heat settings. I could go on and on but I will stop now. go GHD you won't be disappointed and will get your money Worth's. ( a little on heavy side for those with health concerns on weight ) mine came with the diffuser and concentrate nozzle.

I bought mine back in 2012 and it’s still going strong. Bought over 10 years, one of my first major Sephora purchases. Been with me throughout multiple moves and still works just as good. It still dries my hair quickly. Only complaint is it’s heavy.

Buyer beware!! This is wonderful hair dryer….for its very short life. I have had mine for about 5 years now and it suddenly started smelling like burning/melting metal and plastic. I immediately unplugged it and it made my house smell like burning metal and plastic for hours. I’ve had much cheaper hair dryers for much longer than this and they never stopped working or became a fire hazard. I had purchased this one as a high-end upgrade. And just in case you were wondering about ghd customer service…best they can do after your warranty expires is give you a 10% discount towards a new product. All of that being said, it’s a shame because I really loved this hair dryer and the diffuser attachment (additional purchase) for my curly hair. :(

Nice, but Sephora needs to correct the description
Mostly great - small, powerful, decently quiet, and doesn't produce too much frizz when blowing out my wavy/curly hair. However, the description says that it comes with "two removable precision nozzles, and a diffuser ring". It only has one precision nozzle and no diffuser! Disappointed I have to buy a diffuser separately.

It was good enough while it lasted but a spark flew out of it and it died less than a year after I bought it. The nozzles were hard to get on and off as well.
