It works amazing!
My flat iron died on me after 13 years and I was so nervous to buy a new one. I did a lot of research and ended up buying this one. I LOVE IT! It took me half the time to finish my hair and it looks amazing! I’m so happy I ended up going with this one

I love it so much, I bought it TWICE!
This is the best straightener I have ever purchased, hands down. Compared to the babyliss and chi I have previously owned, I will choose this Drybar straightener every time! I bought this for the first time about 4 years ago. I love the vibration setting because it separate your hair to avoid frying. I have definitely noticed a difference in my hair health. I recently went on a trip and my iron broke during my travels so I immediately purchased again. I used a chi while I waited for my new straighter to come in and it took twice the time and effort.

Great
I am very happy with this straightener. I am able to straighten my very curly hair quickly with this and find that it rarely snags. I still don’t understand what the vibrating it supposed to do, but you do have the option to turn that off. Keeps my bar nice and straight

Good option flat iron
I’m not a hairdresser but I did ask mine for her advice on getting a new flat iron, her recommendation was for a more expensive brand, however I only wanted to replace my existing iron which was giving trouble after 3 years of use (Moroccan Oil Flat Iron). Besides all the hype this iron has the same plate length as my old one, it does give better curls, it is comfortable to use, and the vibration while not necessary is fine, it gets my hair straight which is what I wanted. The only thing I don’t like is the temperature settings which does not give the actual heat e.g. 350F but gives you in a 1-3 lights range etc. Annoying but I’m using it on the lowest setting, and it seems to be working for my hair.

Hands down….the best!
This is my second dry bar flat iron. I previously had the tress press, and it was 5 years old and accidentally broken during a move. It worked perfect those 5 years until it met its untimely demise (thanks to my husbund) I received today and used for the first time on mine and my daughters very thick/fine hair. It takes one pass for our hair, and the shine is incredible. I’m so glad I trusted my gut and purchased another drybar flat iron. For reference, I can purchase from the professional beauty suppliers at cost. So I can get any salon brand hair styler sold at those businesses. This is even better than the Paul Mitchell Neuro, that I purchased for my mother.

These Really Surprised Me!
Bought these flat irons because I like Drybar and they were elsewhere 57% off, but I was a skeptic if they were really needed in my collection. I am always on the hunt for flat irons that wow me by straightening my hair without frying it out. I have a lot of premium flat irons and middle of the road in price flat irons. I’d have to say my most expensive are the L’Oréal Steampod 4(super love these, but maybe in another review), the Drybar reserve vibrating flat iron is superior in its quality and use because it doesn’t over or under straighten your hair. Every hair is different but I had zero snag and breakage when using them. It does give you an airy, bouncy, clean hair look. Your hair ends aren’t frayed or frizzed when using this flat iron. For context, I used hair serum, Color Wow xtra strength, and IGK Good behavior prior to flat ironing my hair. My hair is not relaxed, is short and has hair color. These flat irons are worth the “coins” to spend only if you don’t have a huge collection of premium flat irons or if you are looking for flat irons, that won’t over straighten or under straighten your hair. These are light enough and small enough for anyone with short and long length hair, natural, permed or relaxed to use. Additionally, these would work great on Black women hair as well.

Suggested Usage:

Work in 1‒2” (2.5-5 cm) cleanly parted, brushed sections.
• To Straighten: Hold iron horizontally. Clamp hair at the root and slowly pull through to the ends, slightly beveling toward the face to prevent static.
• To Curl: Hold iron vertically. Clamp hair midway through the section, then twist the iron away from your face 180 degrees and pull forward through to the ends. The slower you pull, the greater the curl. For waves, pull through more quickly.

Recommended Temperatures:
• Fine/Damaged/Processed Hair: 1–3 lights (250–350°F / 120°C–180°C)
• Medium Hair: 4 lights (400°F/200°C)
• Thick/Coarse Hair: 5 lights (450°F/230°C)
