I Don't Understand The Hype

I don't understand the hype. Full price but not Full size - you're buying half a lipstick. I'm always on the lookout for a pink-brown low luster or matte lipstick but the color of this one is just ok, nothing special. It's nearly a dupe for Chanel's Rouge Ingenue but Chanel did it better in both color and formulation. It's rare for me to make a Sephora return but this one is going back.

Suggested Usage:
Prep and define:
-Smooth lips with an exfoliant, then dab on a touch of Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Concealer (sold separately) to neutralize your natural lip color and create the perfect canvas.
-Define lips and enhance staying power with the PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil (sold separately) in a coordinating shade.

Build color opacity in layers:
-Use your finger to press and roll color onto lips.
-Starting at the middle of your bottom lip, work outward to either edge.
-Repeat on top lip.

Make it last:
-After applying lipstick, gently pull a tissue apart into two thin sheets.
-Press one of the sheets against your lips, lightly dusting with Sublime Perfection Setting Powder (sold separately).
