Lackluster for the price tag

I own all the Mothership pallets and I have to say.. this palette, though not the same choice of boring pink hues McGrath is well known for, was not to my standards. It was lackluster. No special shades, and just a bit more pigmented than any other random high end palette. Sadly not worth the price tag, this time.

Sephora leaves me very disappointed. They sent me

From now on I’ll buy ALL my skin care products and makeup from AMAZON!! they sent me USED product After spending over a hundred dollars on this palette I had high expectations. But my feelings were complete disappointment at receiving product that was torn at corners AND the palette was USED. From now on USED use

PML is the Queen of the Eyeshadow Pallet!!!

Literally. No one does it better. This is my 4th Mothership. I've always been so impressed by PML pallets. They're expensive, but they are truly worth every penny. This pallet right here, is my favorite of them all. Every time I get a new pallet, I end up using 3 maybe 4 of the eyeshadows and just totally ignore the rest. They go untouched. This is the first pallet I've ever used where I regularly use 8-9 out of the 10 colors. They are all so beautiful!!!

I will never not love PML

This palette is gorgeous! The colors are amazing, matte and shimmers. So many looks with this palette and the colors blend like a dream. This is my 3rd PML palette, and I love every single one I have. I love bold looks and this is perfect!

This palette surprised me in a bad way. I didn’t like the mattes at all — they’re hard to blend and look patchy, especially the muted coral shade with glitter. I also had a strange allergic reaction to the matte green shade. It stained my lids even though I used primer beforehand. My eyelids were burning and extremely itchy after applying it. Even the packaging let me down — the thread came apart, and the corners broke after just the second use. And believe me, I was really gentle with this palette. Overall, I’m very disappointed and upset with it.

Pat is baaaack!

After years of slogging thru pink-based palettes Pat’s found her groove again with this multi-hues beauty. While there aren’t any “special” shades per se the quality of the mattes & metallics are Pat McGrath quality. Lots of versatile looks don’t let the diversity of the color scheme fool you.

Not the quality I’ve come to expect from PMG…

I’ve been a longtime fan of Pat McGrath eyeshadows. The luxurious, buttery, pigmented formulas were always a delight. They’ve recently reformulated their old palettes, getting rid of the special baked shades and replacing them with pressed shadows. This new palette is completely pressed shades. I was curious to try this new formula, and excited to see a palette that is mostly shimmers and glitters! However— it was dsappointing. While the color story of this palette is lovely, and the few mattes are up to usual standards, it seems like the glittery shades are just alright. Okay. Not amazing or dazzling or brilliant like past collections. Some of them feel scratchy in texture, they don’t blend out very nicely (and they get muddy and emphasize texture by the end of the day which makes this issue even worse— see my photo), and they don’t wear as well throughout the day. For this pricepoint, the eyeshadows should be show-stopping quality!! They used to be… Anyway, it is a nice palette. But it’s ridiculously expensive for a palette that is simply nice, not excellent. You can get palettes this same quality for much cheaper. I’ll be keeping it because I still like it enough and I can make it work , but is it worth it to the ordinary consumer? No. The quality is actually disappointing.

I'm now a Mothership convert

This is my first Mothership. I have tons of Natasha Denona, Danessa Myricks, Huda, Tarte, and PMG's other eyeshadow. So glad I spent the money and got this. The formulas are next level. The color story is amazing; I will be able to do so many different looks with this. You can tell a lot of thought went into this palette. I am so happy I took the plunge! It's the star of my collection. I'd say if you can get it during the sale, go for it. No regrets here.

Suggested Usage:
-Use a tapered brush to apply matte pigments along the contours of the eyes, enhancing depth, structure, and shape.
-Use a soft detail brush to apply shimmering pigments to illuminate the browbones, inner corners, and eyelids.

-With a damp brush, dip into the pigments and sweep across the eyes for customizable definition, from smokey to precise.

-Illuminate the high points of the face and Cupid's bow with shimmering and sparkling pigments.

-Apply shadows either dry or wet to intensify color, or layer them over the IntensifEYES™ Artistry Wand (sold separately) for bold opacity.

-Finish your look by defining and dramatizing the lashes with Mascara (sold separately).
