I received the Instant FirmX® Easy Wear Temporary Face Tightener to try and share my honest review. I have dry skin, so I was really curious to see how this product would work for me. I applied it to clean, dry skin and spread a thin layer evenly over my face. It absorbed quickly, and I noticed the tightening effect almost immediately. This product is terrible I put it on a couple of days and it did absolutely nothing I tried to return it but didn't realize Sephora has a 30 day return policy on opened items So I'm stuck with a a $50

Honestly, this product just is not for me. The application process is tedious (you must let it dry for ten minutes without making any facial expressions), it sometimes dries white, and you cannot put any makeup on top of it. When it works, it WORKS. But I do not think the hassle is worth it.

I finally tried the Peter Thomas Roth Instant FIRMx Temporary Face Tightener, and I was honestly surprised by how fast it worked. It instantly made my skin look tighter and smoother, especially around my under-eyes and fine lines. It has a bit of a learning curve since you only need a small amount, but once you get the application right, the results are really impressive. It's perfect for those days when I want a quick lifted look before doing my makeup or heading out.

Leaves residue and does not work well under makeup.

I used to use their product similar to this but it is the makeup primer and I absolutely love it! Miracle in a bottle! However, I bought this when Sephora was doing their 50% off event and the primer was not on sale, but this one was and I bought 2. I figured it was going to have the same effect, but maybe even stronger and I was right! This product is VERY finicky, but if you are very dedicated to getting it right, you can get it right and when you do it is worth it! This product will smooth out any lines you have, create a matte finish that is to die for and its just a very flawless look. If you use too much, it will pill or get white and flakey but I have some tips for this. First, make sure your skin is exfoliated and moisturized. Your skin should be as moisturized as you can get it, so layer your moisture and then finish with a thick cream. I also found that this product lays on so much better without flaking if I also use the Laneige Glowy makeup Serum (photo) Plus, this product allows me to finally use my favorite shimmer creams underneath. Using the shimmer is the perfect compliment for the heavy matte and doing it this way keeps it from tugging on my face in a weird way. It really makes it look so much better when you use it this way. The Laneige goes on after the last layer of moisture, then I use one shimmer layer and then I do one more shimmer layer. Then, I put the PTR ontop of that. I tried mixing it with foundation and it did not work so well. You have to figure out how much to put on. I would say two pea sized amounts. If there is any flaking, it's ok, just put setting spray over it and that will fix it right up! This finish looks so beautiful and if you add shimmer underneath like I said, you will thank me! The pink glow prime is from 5Below. I feel like this has answered so many prayers for me. I understand why people are having a tough time figuring out how to use it but, treat it as sacred with mad respect and you can get it to work for you.

I love this. Ive purchased this a few times. It actually tightens and lines are like non-existent and my dog bite from childhood has become soo flat. It lasts like 10 hrs on a good day on a less sleep maybe 6-7 hrs. Best thing was a lady when I 1st bought this instore and I had saw the 1 that said results in a wk and I asked her if the instant 1 was available and she took me right to it and she knew exactly how long it would work. Glad there's something that really does what it says / videos esp. You can b feeling your prime then get a med. ailment and your face will show it in one night and med ailments dont discriminate you can b young.
