Clean scalp without being too abrasive!
I was provided this product to try but before I left a review I wanted to give it a few tries. The first time I tried the dr.for hair sea salt exfoliator was after I took out my knotless braids (protective style). This was the perfect time for me to try an exfoliation product because my hair had been braided up for weeks. My scalp was visible for weeks, it had tons of product built up and needed a deep cleaning. I loved the texture of this product and the mint feeling. My scalp felt clean and minty and although my scalp is sometimes sensitive it did not get irritated. My scalp felt like it just got a deep cleaning. I tried this again on just a normal wash day - I didn’t have to use as much product this time around because it wasn’t as dirty as it was before. My scalp still really clean , I also like that I didn’t feel huge salt particles scrubbing my scalp. Since I’ve only used it a couple of times I can’t speak to the part of fuller looking hair but hopefully over time I will begin to see this as well since my scalp follicles are being cleaned.

My new must-have!
Let me start by saying that I have used a lot of scalp products. I have used scalp, scrubs, scalp, serums, scalp sprays, as well as shampoos made for scalp health. I tend to get a lot of buildup on my scalp and even after one day I feel like I need to wash my hair all the time. This product has changed that! I haven't used shampoo since I started using this product. I use this a couple times a week and there is virtually no buildup left on my scalp and my hair feels clean for days. Also the rest of my hair doesn't feel dry from being overwashed any longer. I even let my daughter borrow it and now I have to get a bottle for her. Great product. Definitely worth checking out if you have scout buildup or an oily scalp.

I used this treatment twice a week and unfortunately it didn’t do any great effect on my hair. My hair is thin, regular elasticity and normal porosity and I have slightly oily scalp. When I used it, as directed - on wet hair, no shampoo, it simply didn’t clean the scalp. It definitely needs shampoo after that. The scalp looked and felt greasier after using this than it was before. I used about half of the bottle just to use the treatment twice. The scent is really strong and strange and would stay even after using different treatment or shampoo the next time. I don’t think this is a useful product at all.

Great scrub!
Super happy with this scalp scrub already! It’s is the most refreshing and cleansing product I own for my hair! It has a very pleasant and strong scent that lingers on even after the shower. Almost a little minty, without smelling like a fragrance! I feel like my scalp is cleaner and hair feels lighter but fuller after I used this. Very happy so far!

I’ve used the product twice so far, and my first impressions have been very positive. I struggle with dandruff, and one of the first things I noticed was that my scalp felt less itchy after using it. It’s still early to judge the long-term results, but it definitely seems to be helping with that concern.

Decent Scrub
I have mixed feelings about this scalp scrub. I liked the chunky bits of salt, but it got very lathered and foamy so it felt more like a shampoo than a scrub and there wasn’t quite enough salt to make it feel like I was getting a really good scrub. I did like the minty freshness and cooling aspect of this scalp scrub. Fortunately it’s not too expensive but it seems like such a small amount and you don’t get many uses out of the container. I did like the targeted application of the bottle, it was easy to just run it through my hair and get it evenly distributed for the most part. I didn’t try it long enough to say if it really thickens your hair.

I’m so excited that I got to try this product. I have noticed something and hair loss as I’ve gotten older and I’ve been looking for products to treat it. I use this instead of shampoo and it lathers up extremely well and feels like it’s cleansing the scalp. The scent is slightly salty, but it doesn’t have an overly strong scent which I prefer. You don’t really need to use a lot a little more than a dime size is enough and it scrubs up extremely well and feels like it’s really cleansing the scalp. I’ve noticed less fallout and overall my hair feels like it’s much thicker.

I have natural curly hair and use a lot of products in my hair when I wear it natural it can have a lot of build up. With the Folligen Thickening Sea Salt Scalp Exfoliator it truly gets out all the residue! It truly helps my hair feel super clean after one use.
