Shiseido had a Essence booster, I think this is repackaged with a new name and double the price, it feels like the booster on the skin, it had hydration, but lately my skin is breaking out, I am not blaming this product, but I think it's reacting with my mositruzier, I will update my review if I see a change, my Moisturizer is new so it takes time for the skin to adjust.

Quite worth the expense
I have been using several Shiseido products for many years now (I am 69.) This one is always part of my skincare regimen. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Big yes. For mature skin this essence is tremendous for putting that layer of hydration into my skin prior to moisturizer. I never thought of this as a “brightening” product which is fine. That’s not what I specifically use it for. I’m after the hydration and skin smoothing I get from regular use. Definitely recommend it. And a little truly goes a long way. One bottle lasts me close to 9 months. Easily. And as I said, I do use it daily.

I received this product for free from influencers for my honest opinion Let me start by saying that I am new to using an essence. Typically, I just cleanse, toner, serums, and then moisturize. I really wanted to love this essence, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. The texture is nice and lightweight, and it absorbs well into the skin, but I didn’t notice any real improvement in hydration or brightness over time. Additionally, the fragrance is quite strong

This Shiseido essence leaves my skin feeling soft, hydrated, and plump. I was initially skeptical but impressed by how quickly it absorbed and worked seamlessly with other products.
