My hair went through a full stress-induced meltdown a couple years ago (dramatic shedding, thinning, the whole betrayal arc), and this shampoo has been part of the ride back to having an actual head of hair again. It smells like a spa decided to bottle “main character energy,” and my ends stay soft instead of straw-like, which for someone who’s blonde and treats their hair like an experiment, is basically a miracle. I've tried so many shampoos and this one is by far the best. The smell isn't overwhelming like some others I've tried from Ketastase. Makes my hair look and feel so soft. I do find it needs a double wash to really get it to lather up but other than that I use and love the whole line. It's definitely pricey but If you have blonde hair, worth it!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I really like the Kérastase Blonde Absolu Hydrating Illuminating Shampoo overall! First off, the packaging is beautiful, and it is very easy to use and easily dispensed. The formula lathers really well, leaves my hair feeling completely clean, and unlike some other blonding products, it wasn't drying to my hair at all. It did an amazing job removing a lot of the brassiness, leaving the color looking refreshed—I've attached some before and after pictures so you can see the difference for yourself! After using it, my hair felt significantly softer, shinier, and looked much more luminous, while completely getting rid of my frizz.
The only thing to keep in mind is the fragrance. It has a very strong floral scent. I enjoy it, but if you are sensitive to strong perfumes, that is definitely something to note. Overall, it's a fantastic, high-performing shampoo that delivers on its promises, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone I know personally who is in the market for a great blonding shampoo!
