Unfortunately for my wallet, I love this serum <3 It absorbs quickly and leaves a silky finish, no tackiness. Within a few days my skin looked noticeably more hydrated, bright, and my texture and lines were less stark. I apply after cleansing while my face is still damp. I have sensitive and acne prone combo skin, most products I try either leave me with an allergic reaction or closed comedones. I spent hours looking at every drugstore to luxury HA serum, looking for minimal ingredients for my picky skin and ingredients that were least likely to clog pores. This one was most aligned with those requirements The only reason I would give less than 5 stars is the price. Make sure to buy during a sale!!

Price

Price has gone up significantly with no improvement in size or formula. I plan on finding an alternative.

Cannot be used around the eyes

Can’t use it around the eye. Product description on their website (duplicated here) is just wrong. The box states it cannot have contact with skin around the eyes. Also, Kiehl’s customer service is terrible.

Necessary for gua sha

Surprise Purchase

Grabbed this on a whim to include in my routine. Absolutely loving the results. Noticeable improvement in skin texture and appearance. Will keep in my daily routine.

Does a good job plumping the skin

I use this on my “makeup days” and I do notice a difference in the plump and bounce of my skin. That being said I ALWAYS spray some sort of water mist and use a hydrating moisturizer on top of this because hyaluronic acid pulls moisture to itself so if you don’t add moisture on top, it will pull it from your skin. Just something to note in case you weren’t aware. But I do really like this product. I even bought it back up.

Breakouts

When I use this I break out in tiny whiteheads along my cheekbones. Very weird. I've been using it on my legs so I don't waste it and honestly don't notice any difference in hydration.

Gentle quenching hydration!

If you have sensitive, dry skin, this hyaluronic serum formula is absolutely amazing. It has no fragrance and only 7 ingredients, so if you are prone to skin allergies, the likelihood of getting an adverse reaction is much lower. It soaks straight into the skin without leaving a sticky residue, and its very light, so its perfect for layering during the daytime. While it's more pricey than other options, I think its worth it if you have sensitive skin like me that reacts to a lot of products.

I was using the ordinary serum and thought I loved it until I tried this. No sticky tacky feeling and my skin is so plump and hydrated.

Suggested Usage:
-In the morning and evening, apply two to three drops to clean, dry skin.

Try out Kiehl’s Since 1851’s Ultra Pure Hyaluronic Acid 1.5% Serum hacks:
-Add a drop of this serum to your liquid makeup (foundation or highlighter) to add a boost of hydration and sheer out the coverage to a tint.
-Layer this serum underneath your favorite eye cream for an extra hydration boost.
-Use as a highlighter by dabbing extra over your moisturizer on the ‘c’ between the top of your brow arch, temple, and cheek bone.
-Zone treat your face by applying all over to hydrate skin. Follow with your favorite moisturizer where needed.
-Layer with Kiehl’s Since 1851’s Niacinamide Serum (sold separately) to absorb oil and soothe skin.
