I have very oily eyelids, so longevity is important for me. Bare Study looks much prettier on the eyes than Painterly because the soft pearl shimmer makes the makeup look smoother and more flattering. I have very oily eyelids, especially in warm weather, so long wear is very important for me. Painterly is much lighter than expected — it works more like a brightening base than an actual nude beige eyeshadow. The formula helps shadows crease a little slower and more evenly than some cheaper products, but it definitely does not last anywhere close to 24 hours on oily lids. Creasing still starts after a few hours, especially near the inner corners. The shimmer shades also look more like lightly tinted bases than true pigmented shadows. For the price, I expected much better performance.
