Major Downgrade

I used to use Dermalogica’s Invisible Physical Defense, which was the perfect facial sunscreen for me - no greasy residue, no white cast, no pilling, absolutely perfect. Imagine my dismay when I could longer find it, this being the product that took its place. I decided to give it a try, and could not be more disappointed. Firstly, this is so heavy and greasy that I break out every time I try to use it. The tint they claim to have added is nonexistent, just a grayish streak. For the price point, this is awful - what I’d expect from dollar store garbage.

Love, but pills

I love this sunscreen on its own, but when applied over the dermalogica collagen moisturizer, it pills like crazy! I thought the products would be okay to use together since it’s both water based, but maybe I’m wrong. The pilling is orangey on my face and fingers. I tried shaking it and waiting 10+ minutes for the moisturizer to absorb before applying but that didn’t work.

I ordered the Dermalogica Porescreen Mineral Sunscreen SPF 40 from Sephora in December, and I was surprised to see that it expires in March 2026. That’s a relatively short shelf life for a newly purchased product, especially for a premium brand like Dermalogica.

Terrible packaging

It’s a tiny amount of product for the price and packaging is terrible. It’s actually a pump top in the tube, which makes it hard to get all the product, and the tube is too small to grip while working the pump, so you need two hands. It’s also cheaply made. The corners are super sharp and today when I pulled the outer lid off the entire pump assembly came with it so now it’s garbage I guess? The product itself is also lacking. It goes on super thick and greasy and smells nasty. It feels way too gross to put makeup on top of - can’t bring myself to try - so I can’t speak to that.

Not even the dry parts of my skin like this produc

I have been using this product for a couple months now and every time i do i regret it. Its very oily and leaves a white residue on your face. And at the end of the day, without fail, i end up with a white head or enlarged poor. I use the spf 50 by them which is amazing and only 30$ more

I Won’t Buy It Again

I have sensitive skin and rosacea. It is effective, last & little goes a long way. The scent is not unpleasant. Unfortunately, it breaks my skin out, pills under makeup and burns my eyes. I applied it to my forehead and no higher than my cheek bones.

Great but the cost, not so much.

I really like this product. It blends really well with my other daytime products. However, it is way too expensive and for such a small amount.

It was too expensive for a subpar product

This product is okay, at best. It feels good going on but starts to pill immediately and makes my skin look like it's shedding. Also, the container is very small for the price. The product is just not worth the money when you look at performance & price.
