Worst scent ever Cannot describe the notes except horrible

I guess Montale is KNOWN for inconsistent formulation. My perfume’s only note is abrasive barnyard animal. The tester in the Times Square store (probably an old formula and had oxidized for months) immediately gave pineapple and vanilla/coconut when I sprayed on my writ. My new bottle purchased online has given no pineapple or any fruit notes whatsoever. The ONLY note in my online purchase is the most dirty barnyard animal smelling oud I have ever smelled in my life. Zero. I mean zero sweetness or creaminess whatsoever. Zero pineapple. The in-store tester and the new bottle I purchased on Sephora.Com are NOT the same perfume. They don’t even smell like cousins of each other, the DNA doesn’t smell even remotely in the same ballpark of each other. I’m very adventurous when it comes to perfume and even so the new bottle I just received after purchasing on Sephora.Com is the most horrid thing I’ve ever smelled in my life. Not only must the Time Square tester bottle must have oxidized off some of the oud notes but they CLEARLY are not the same formulation. Zero. I mean ZERO pineapple note in my bottle and the NAME of the perfume means “pineapple!”

Bought this with my own money! Absolutely horrible smell, probably the worst perfume I have ever had, there’s absolutely nothing from pineapple, it’s not sweet or fruity it’s something leathery oud but in a very smelly kinda way! Do not get it!!

I cannot scrub my hand enough. I smelled this today and the oud is “ouding” too much for me. All you smell is oud and nothing else. Smells awful. No maam.

Smells nothing like pineapple. Very strong smell that I did not like.

This is THEE worst thing I’ve smelled in 2025. Smells like I’m hugging the waist of a musty man riding a dirty elephant & i just took the last swig of my warm pineapple juice that was in my leather canteen.

i've checked out this release and another one from Montale at a different store. Alas, Oud Sapparot, although initially pleasant, quickly went to a skin scent. And pineapple accord was nowhere near as prominent as the description of accords would have it. Not one of the best releases from Montale, alas. So, longevity is not there, on my skin. However, Dallachai, the other release, was there 24 hrs later and after several showers, i could still smell the musk's base...

Wish I could give 0 stars! It smells like straight up leather and cabinet. Not a wiff of pineapple, coconut nor vanilla! 1 star for the lasting power since it does last, just hate the smell more than anything and it makes me sick
