First, I'd like to mention is I never write reviews, and this was not something I received in return for a review, just honest useage. I'm always searching for the best eyelid priner, and I've tried them all! My go-to for the past year or two is by Pretty Vulgar, it's excellent. My daughter works in the industry and always giving me samples from everyone. She gave me this one from Pat McGrath, and it's amazing. I'm surprised about the reviews about it creasing or not lasting. I have both oily eyelids as well as the hooded lids, and this primer keeps my eyeshadow looking great all day. Maybe they're putting it on too thick or not giving it enough time to set, but I do not have this problem. I mean, if its super hot and humid, there is some creasing, but in these conditions, nothing is going to be perfect. I highly recommend this.

Nice smooth formula
This does intensify eyeshadow and help with the longevity of eyeshadows! I like it better than the Urban Decay’s and the Nar’s one. No white cast either.

Just pass on this one
Had high hopes for this primer since I use Pat McGrath make up. But this purchase was not a good one. Seemed like there was hardly any product in the tube and it went on so light I had to double up when applying it. Don’t waste your money

Just don’t bother..
What a mess— I’ve put it away & tried again so many times but even with setting powder nothing stayed put (mascara , eyeshadow, liner, or brow pencil). I’ve had some embarrassing workdays because of this product. &domt

Not great
I’ve had better. It’s sadly disappointing for the price.
I keep searching for a replacement to UD’s eyeshadow primer cuz I swear they’ve changed their formula.

Save your money
I used the Sephora brand eyeshadow primer for years and LOVED it. They discontinued it for some reason. The employees recommended this one and it just doesn’t do the trick. It’s clumpy and nude so the colors don’t really pop. It just doesn’t look good underneath my eyeshadow

No thanks. Will not be repurchasing.
When it came to shadow primers, I have been a faithful smashbox and urban decay fan for years. The rep at Sephora, however, highly recommended the Pat McGrath primer so I gave it a go. It’s been months now and I will not be purchasing this again. Firstly it comes in an all black glass tube, so you have no idea how much product you get to start with. So while you’re using it and you think you’re running low, you can’t tell if there’s anymore product left. Since the tube is glass, you also can’t use this product all the way down to the last drop. It’s likely I’ll be throwing it away before I get to the bottom of the product because I can’t see what’s inside. The product also did not prevent shadow/liner fallout so I often found myself wiping away shadow or liner from the bottom of my lids. Again I will never purchase this again.

It makes my eyelid really oily. For the price, I like NARS eyeshadow primer better and cheaper.

Way too wet and oily
I have been using Paul & Joe for years but I can’t find it anywhere. I was so hoping I had found a replacement but unfortunately not. This is very oily and doesn’t dry - just too wet for a nice eyeshadow application

Pro Tips: -Apply a small amount along the lower lash line to eliminate creasing, smudging, and mascara transfer. -Use a brush or fingertip to apply the primer to the lip line to prevent feathering.
