Another great product sold out to the trend of skin care in makeup and reformulated into something terrible. Sad to watch great brands succumb to passing fads instead of just sticking with a good product. They'll switch back in a few years because eventually everyone will realize it's not actually a great idea and they're loading their skin with too much product, and they'll be onto her next thing. By then we'll all have found something better to replace it and brand/product loyalty will be gone.

I’ve been using this product for around a month and it is very blend bowl and looks OK inside, but when I go outside, I look white and orange on my face. It’s rather jarring. I was color matched by an educator. I looked great in store. But it’s white face out in the world. I don’t know why this is happening. But it didn’t bother my eczema or rosacea and overall seemed easy to blend.

MUFE has now discontinued *three* foundations I loved. First, I had to replace my holy grail Velvet Matte with Matte Velvet Skin, which was great, until they discontinued my shade. I found one close enough (I was not going to give up the coverage and weightlessness in that formula), and became quite content with it, always buying three bottles at a time, with faith it would still be around at the time of my next restock. But then they discontinued THAT, so after managing to find a store with three bottles in stock, I was on the hunt for a new one. Again. I opted for HD Skin Long-Lasting Waterproof Natural Matte, which wasn't quite the full coverage I prefer, but I could definitely work with it by layering, and it possessed that same weightless feel. Then, went to replace it last week, and sure enough - that was discontinued too. So here I am, left with the last possible foundation in the MUFE line that could remotely work for me, but figured it would still be fine, since MUFE has never let me down in any way other than constantly discontinuing their formulations. I've not been wearing it long enough to share how it will ultimately bear out with others' reviews, but what I can tell you is that what I've always loved about MUFE - the fact that regardless of the many variations I've used, it feels weightless on my skin, lasts all day into the evening, and allows me to forget I'm wearing makeup at all - is absolutely not present in this formula. I'm sitting here writing this two hours after application and I can *feel* this makeup in every pore. My skin looks okay, I guess (despite the poor coverage), but it *feels* terrible. I feel like I’m wearing an itchy, greasy mask. The only reason I haven’t rushed to wash it off is because I keep hoping the sensation will improve. I hate this foundation so much that I'm actually angry about it. I guess I'm officially done with MUFE, who should change their brand name to Makeup For a Short Period of Time.

Hi, I purchased this foundation in November 2025. Around four months after opening, the formula started separating permanently. I followed the instructions to shake it well, and Sephora also advised me to do so, but it never returned to a smooth consistency. It now applies in patches, pills on the skin, leaves yellow streaks, and has a grainy texture. I have used many of your products before and have never experienced this issue. Could you please advise if this may be a defective product and whether there is anything you can do to help?

Very impressive shade matching, but the formula isn’t my favorite. It started cracking after walking outside for about an hour and before 2 hours had passed my forward coverage was completely gone. If I’m staying indoors or doing an activity that doesn’t require sweating, it works perfectly.

I’m so disappointed that they switched from the original HD skin to this line. The HD skin was the perfect lightweight coverage. The HD skin Hydra glow becomes so smeary on my face and is causing breakouts. Now I have no idea which foundation to switch to, and I spent way too much money for nothing.

This looked great at first, then completely rubbed off by noon. I set it as I set all my foundations - setting powder and setting spray, but it did not last at all. Otherwise, it looks great for 20 minutes.

Really wanted to love this product as it was highly recommended by a sales associate. It is probably the worst foundation I have ever tried. It did not matter if I used primer this product would not absorb into the skin. It would not blend with brushes, beauty blenders, fingers etc. It would simply sit on the skin and leave faint brush stroke lines and/or weird spots. It eventually would settle into foundation like freckles

I've tried a lot of foundations over the years, but this one has quickly become my favorite. It does an amazing job of evening out my skin tone, minimizing redness and imperfections, while still looking completely natural. It's exactly what I was looking for: flawless coverage without a heavy, mask-like finish.

If you have dry, sensitive skin then PLEASE try this foundation! I have highly reactive, rosacea skin and have never once had a reaction to this. It is also one of the few foundations that I can even use under my eyes without them looking drier by the end of the day. This looks even better as the day goes on, too. During the long winters in Tahoe, this is the best!
