I thought this would be my perfect moisturizer because I love a good light weight moisturizer and this has so silicones. I was surprised to find that this had no moisturizing effect on my skin at all. Like another reviewer said, my skin felt drier. I have returned the light and ordered the regular cream.

Huge disappointment
It is indeed a very lightweight and absorbs momentarily. However, this does nothing to my skin in terms of moisturizing it. I have a combo skin and when I apply this cream, my skin feels way more dehydrated than before this cream. Will not buy again and regret buying it.

Light weight and gives the hydration that I kept looking for. With the light weight it gives my skin the feel of nothingness but with a barrier. It smells basically fresh and soft and not harsh at all. I would use this more in the summer time!

perfect for combo skin!
This is my go to moisturizer now. I used to use Estee Lauder day wear matte, but I just wasn’t getting enough hydration from it. This hydrates my skin without being greasy or leaving me looking oily. Super easy on your skin too I don’t get congested pores or any irritation. The Sturm line in general has been fantastic and I’ve slowly transitioned to the complete routine. It’s an investment but if you can afford it every 3 months or so I highly suggest trying out her products!

Had to return. Here’s the thing. I have very sensitive dehydrated skin and this light cream delivered. It is incredibly moist using yet feels light. There is no stinging of any kind. So soothing. BUT I developed gigantic acne spots in all sorts of places on my face. Huge! I have never ever in my life had acne. Ever. I am 52. And when I say acne let me assure you we are talking gigantic zits. Gross. My facialist at my dermatologist also noted my congested skin in general. This is all too bad because where I didn’t have a zit my skin was so calm and happy. Something in this product is a serious problem. Same with the eye cream. Thank goodness Sephora accepts returns unlike the Dr Sturm website.

I have combination skin, I tried this moisturizer-for two months after trying many products and learning specific recommendations from a popular dermatologist. Long story short, have been breaking out even with the help of my acne prescriptions. I have not seen a breakout before using this product. Due to price and it’s inability to improve, I highly suggest y’all stay away.

I have normal skin, and the recommended skin types for this product include normal skin, but it’s not enough.
It IS a very nice, lightweight, water cream. It does dry tight, like a lot of these super lightweight creams without dimethicone. Pretty much anytime I see water as the first ingredient and no silicones I know it’ll have a weird dry down. But after you give it about twenty minutes, it’s perfection. Thats a lot for a two hundred dollar moisturizer. But it’s the only water cream I’ve seen with no alcohol, no fragrance, and no essential oils.
If you have combination or oily skin, give this a try. If you have normal to dry skin, you can try with with other hydrating serums, but it might not be the best for you.
