I love this product. My hair is very healthy but I feel like dye just slips out or it pretty quickly. I recently got my hair done with highlights but I feel like it was too light for my liking, so I used this cocoa color hair depositing mask and I absolutely love the results. ababsolutely

Just stunning on my daughter’s hair!!! AND left it feeling so silky soft. Excited to see if using it again takes it a little darker and then see how long the color lasts. Also the smell is amazing, as all Moroccanoil products are! The pics I uploaded are before and after of the CocoaThis will be a staple item in our carts for a long time now! I never write reviews but I love this product so much I just had to. I have naturally deep brown hair, but was victim to some bad highlights a few years ago, plus some lightening from the sun, that left my ends a much different color from my natural roots. In trying to go back to my natural color, I've tried toner at the salon, all kinds of shampoos, etc. but nothing helped me that much, and the salon toner would wash out after 4 weeks. I was nervous about trying this mask as at-home color makes me nervous, but after finally trying it I wish I had done it so much sooner! My hair feels so soft, thick, and voluminous after using, plus my color comes out a deep brown that perfectly matches my roots. As the color washes out, I don't notice any kind of permanent cast or anything like that. I'm still figuring out the right frequency to use, but I'd say every 2-3 weeks is probably right for me. I will say I LOVE other Moroccanoil products, and I know they can be a bit polarizing - from reading other reviews, it seems like if other Moroccanoil stuff doesn't work well for you, this product might not either. But for me - an absolute game changer!! One word of caution - definitely wear gloves and this product does stain white bathroom fixtures and white towels, so clean as you go and maybe use a towel you don't care much about.

I have loved this product for years! It takes my light brown hair to a richer, deeper brunette while adding softness like a classic deep conditioning mask would. I use it in the shower after shampoo and conditioner. I wring out my hair, apply the mask with my hands, and leave it on for about 8 minutes while I do the rest of my shower routine (and scrub it off of my hands lol, only takes a minute). It lasts about one or two washes for me.

Have used the brown and the pink now and had good results with both on bleached medium blonde highlights. Just for a small change. First pic is after using product, second pic is the before photo

This product is great for brunettes or light brunettes (as the package says) trying to tone down any orange brassiness in their hair that often appears for brunettes. I’ve seen some negative reviews for this product and upon reading I’ve discovered some of the negative reviews coming from those with blonde hair trying to use this product, and it leaving their hair reddish or blue-tinted (which is bound to happen). That result is simply due to using a formula meant for brunettes rather than an issue with the product itself.

I recently went back to my natural hair color after dying it blonde for 5 years and this worked so great on my hair. After my hair appointments my hair has faded from of how dark it originally was. This makes my hair so soft and such a perfevt chocchplate color

The Moroccan Oil "cocoa color depositing mask" was a disappointment. Rather than making my hair "cocoa" or "brown", it turned my highlighted blonde hair into a dark reddish color. Even worse, after just a few washes with Moroccan oil color-care shampoo, the color faded to a blotchy pink. To top it all off, my hair felt greasy and heavy after the very first application.

Does not cover gray hair well, I tried it a couple of times. I'm sure it worked well before, that's why I purchased it again, but it's not working for me this time.
