Good product but has some limitations
I have been using l'Occitane after shave cream for years and decided to try the Cade shaving gel. I have been a wet shaver for decades and have used and currently use high quality shaving creames such as Castle Forbes, St James of London and Proraso (among many others) along with a Simpson Super Badger brush and have been able to obtain a rich shaving lather . Unfortunately, I am not able to obtain any shaving lather using a shaving brush with the Cade shaving cream . However I am able to generate a light lather without a brush by messaging with my fingers the Cade cream directly on my face. I do like the Cade cream and the smell and I am able to obtain a good shave. I just wish I could use a shaving brush to produce a rich lather..

Simply the best
After having tried many shaving gels, foams, and even fancy soaps with camel hair brushes, I finally found this product and will never use a different one ever again. It makes the blade simply glide while cutting the beard hairs very close to skin level for a consistent, smooth, baby-soft feelwhich the wife loves too! I stumbled onto this product visiting a friend in Paris. My US brand products don't come close. The texture, hint of aroma was a perfect compliment to my very sensitive skin. Best shaving cream on the market! I won't use any other. My wife introduced me to L'Occitane a few years ago and I thought OMG WHY IS THIS IS SO EXPENSIVE... and then I used it... and then I never looked back. The mainstream companies (gilette, for example) often perfume up their products and cheap out on the main ingredients. In Europe, the standards are much higher, and the consumer is at the forefront of the product-development process. Everything is meant to improve the lives of the end-user, not just make a buck. This shaving cream prevents knicks and cuts, and my face feels clean and hydrated (I pair with the Cedrat after shave cream.)
I've used this container for over a year and still have plenty left, so trust me when I say you only need a dab the size of a PEA! great product, and I'll never use anything else.

Best shaving cream I have ever used.
Smells great. Just a half inch of cream is enough to shave with. If you buy a rolling key it will last even longer. My shave is super close and my skin feels great. And after all these years of using Cade shaving cream I discovered there is a flip cap on the tube top. I had been unscrewing the cap for years.
