I have very dry, very sensitive skin and was looking for a retinol that was compatible with my skin type. I like that this serum has a low dose of retinol, which in my opinion, makes it beginner friendly — which is exactly what I was looking for as a first time user.
When using retinol, it's important to note a couple things.
1. You MUST wear sunscreen. Using this without spf can cause skin irritation. You're also at higher risk for sun burn, which, if you're using this for wrinkles, skipping spf is counter productive anyway if you're trying to maintain your collagen.
2. Make sure you aren't mixing this with incompatible active ingredients, such as salicylic acid (in general, don't exfoliate the same night you use this). For those who are experiencing sensitivity, this could be why, or it could be the reason above.
To conclude: I'm rating this 4 stars because it can take about six months to see results with retinol, but this bottle only lasted me three months (I use 3x a week), so I haven't seen it work its magic — yet. If people don't see results after purchasing once, they might think this is a bad product, which is the only downfall. BUT, I personally like this product and will repurchase it. It doesn't dry my skin out or cause any sensitivity that new products often cause me. No weird smell, either... I did see others say that, but that's not my own experience. I don't recommend this for oily/acne prone skin types since this is a cream formula and it might be too thick for you. However, it doesn't feel heavy.

Smooth lightweight serum, no major changes yet

. I haven’t noticed a major change in my skin since using it, but know the benefits of retinol and love the first aid beauty brand so will continue to use and report back any changes.

I have been using for a few weeks and don’t really notice difference in wrinkles or lines but my skin texture has improved and it’s a nice consistency and absorbs quickly. I will use this up and hope to have good results.

My new favorite serum for my skin care
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I am so glad that this product it became so much part of my daily routine that I forgot I was using an influencer product. The initial feel of this product is as you was expect from a retina serum. The consistency isn’t too thick isn’t too thin. It’s just right have any sensitivity issues or breakout while using this product for women of color sometimes products are known for giving white face which would be extra residue that is left behind after the working the product into our skin and it did not leave any residue. I use this product for at least three weeks straight, and I can definitely tell that this product is working on my skin in repairing the barrier and also adding the most needed vitamins and minerals to rejuvenate my skin.

Doesn’t even feel like it’s on if you don’t have any sensitivity in you very little bit you won’t have any peeling or redness. This does help with firmness and anti-aging overtime. Great retinol overall
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review. The person who said her skin was sticky your supposed to wear this at night in my opinion not morning. I think this is a great product and retinol serum overall especially for the price point. I do prefer the more yellow/orange retinal with an A but that’s me. I wish they would also come out with that version as well because I would buy it. Has a slight smell to it but nothing bad. Great for most skin types and I would say 30 years old is a good time to start using retinol in your routine.

great texture, not sure on results yet
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] i think this product has a really nice texture and is almost in between a serum and a moisturizer, which i like as sometimes serums can get too thin and watery. this has a bit more body to it and doesn’t run all over the place. it doesn’t dry down and feel sticky at all and leaves no residue. i haven’t however had long enough to really see retinol results as i have hear some people say that can take 3-6 months to see! i do love the texture though and feel it also adds some hydration and isn’t irritating which is really nice for a retinol. i’d recommend trying it if you’re in the market for a new serum and are interested in retinol!

Gentle for Roseca-with smooth results and minimal
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Finding a retinol that works with permanent rosacea is a journey, but I'm impressed with this Fab retinol serum. I followed a specific routine using a cream cleanser, mild hydrating toner, the retinol serum ,hydrating essence, eye cream, and a heavier moisturizer thinned out with essence.
In the serum photo the texture is creamy, lightweight, and non-greasy.
(After skin care P1 )shows my skin right after the final step; it felt flushed and hot for a small amount of time with some mild itchiness. In (After Skincare P2) about 5 minutes later ,the reaction settled as it was absorbed.
The next day photo shows the results: my skin is incredibly smooth, though I do have some mild dryness I also had some very mild purging with a few tiny, barely noticeable blemishes on the cheek that weren't painful or inflamed.
I only use this at night and always follow up with a sensitive sunscreen during the day to protect the progress it's effective yet general enough for those who usually have to be careful with retinol's and my skin feels incredibly soft and not irritated.

Gentle and effective
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I have seen a change in my skin during perimenopause, with blemishes (and subsequent dark marks) approximately a week after my period. This cream has helped those marks begin to fade relatively quickly. Admittedly, I need to improve on my sunscreen use, because I'm sure I'd see much better impact. I did not have additional skin issues using this products. It seemed to be very gentle. I would continue to use this!
