I was able to obtain a sample of this with one of my Sephora orders (not sponsored). The cream is on the thicker side and little goes a long way. Truly, you don't need much. Also, I do not notice any fragrance. It has a type of "grip" to the skin after you put it, but it's not tacky. I would say that it makes your skin feel velvety. If you have dry patches of skin it does help and will leave your skin feeling soft the next day. The Bobbi Brown moisturizer/primer does the same thing. If I would compare the two, I would say that the Bobbi Brown moisturizer is more hydrating because I've noticed the Augustinus Bader one can leave my skin feeling slightly more dryer the next day. I don't notice that as much with the Bobbi Brown one. I would definitely recommend the BB moisturizer over the AB one. Take that for what it's worth.

This is a wonderfully hydrating cream that goes on smoothly. I live in a dry climate and typically have dry skin and this cream makes my skin feel hydrated and soothed. It does have a noticeable smell similar to pencil crayon shavings. It fades and isn’t the worst smell, but it is very noticeable upon applying. I thought maybe I had an off batch, but there are other reviews that say the same. I would continue to use this but I consider it far too expensive. Overall, if you don’t mind the smell and can afford it, it’s a very lovely product.

I've been using augustinus bader products for 2 years now. There is not one I dislike, but they are each great for different times of the year. This is a great product for year round, and my new favorite from AB. I notice my skin is calmed within minutes of use, and I'm no longer getting the little breakouts. The smell (lead pencil) is interesting, but not bothersome. I am noticing my skin is tolerating the acids in my routine a lot better. I like the rich cream (great for summer), but this one is so much better. This cream pairs really well with the Victoria Beckham AB Serum. That serum did not pair well with the rich cream.
