Tried this from a sample card I received with an order, I love the color, texture and appearance, I don't love the price-therefore not buying it. Almost $50 for a lip stain is ridiculous.

As someone who wants something long lasting but glossy, this was perfect. A little bit goes a long way and the shade was beautiful. Other than the price, it is a great product. I would definitely recommend if it’s in someone’s budget.

Still The Best
I have been loyal to this product for many years, although each time I purchase the colors and formulation are a little different. This is still my favorite lip product of all time. However, this time the formulation is a little thinner and drier which is not an improvement. I love the plum color, but I wish it was a bit darker / more opaque. FWIW, my favorite formula was the “rebel nudes” era.

Smooth formula, Matte finish
I received this product for free from Influenster and Yves Saint Laurent in exchange for my honest review.
I don't really like wearing anything that looks unnatural on my lips, so I rarely ever wear much more than a tinted gloss or a touch of a lipstick. But this lip stain is so nice! The packaging is beautiful and chic, and it's such a smooth formula and just the right amount of color. The only thing I was confused about was it was marketed as "high shine". On the contrary, I found it to be very matte. Nonetheless, I love the formula and the finish. Very pretty, and I will be using it frequently!

A complete miss
The color is pretty. The product, especially at this price point, is a complete waste. I don’t think YSL and I use the same definition of “stain” because there is zero staining of my lips with this product. It’s absurd that this is marketed as a lip stain instead of a lip gloss.
