The most underwhelming $89 I ever spent

I bought this serum thinking it would live up to the hype, but honestly… what is this really doing? At $89, I expected to see some kind of result – smoother skin, brighter complexion, something – but it just feels like an expensive moisturizer in serum form. Let’s Talk Ingredients: • Lactic Acid – A mild exfoliant that’s great for resurfacing, but it’s pretty low in the formula. If you’re expecting deep exfoliation or glow, this isn’t it. • Hyaluronic Acid – Hydrates and plumps, which is nice, but you can find this in almost every other serum (for way less). • Hadasei-3 Complex – This is Tatcha’s signature blend of rice, green tea, and algae. It sounds fancy, but it’s basically antioxidants and skin-softeners. It’s nice for hydration and protection, but it’s not going to transform your skin. Does It Work? If you have dry or sensitive skin, this will hydrate and give you a dewy finish – but that’s about it. There’s no noticeable resurfacing, brightening, or long-term improvement. It feels like they leaned too hard into the luxury experience and forgot to make a serum that actually does something transformative. Bottom Line: Save your money. There are cheaper products with stronger actives that will actually give you results. If you love the Tatcha vibe, maybe you’ll enjoy the experience – but if you’re looking for performance, this isn’t it.

A MUST for dry skin!

This is a fantastic product especially when combined with the other Tatcha products. I am in my mid 40's with dry skin, not a lot of texture and using this product has help my parched skin greatly! I started with the rice wash and dewy skin cream and then gradually added other products into my skincare routine over time. When i added this into the lineup I could tell a difference within the first day using it. When I added this before the dewy cream I felt like it made the cream work even better. Even with just those three products, I noticed a difference within a day. I use the Rice wash, rice polish calming, silk serum, and then the dewy skin cream (AM) and indigo overnight repair barrier cream (PM)
