Total shade update fail

It was not clear to me at all that this product has changed as much as it has. I’ve been wearing MAC Studio Fix NC25 powder since 2009, so without a second glance I picked up a new one only to discover when I went to use it that it’s a completely different shade and finish now. I don’t understand why they even changed it, and why they didn’t just market this as a new product. I’m really disappointed I wasted my money it.

Wish the packaging was better so it doesn’t break

I was so excited about the new packaging being refillable. Total fail. I just purchased this and hardly used it when it came out of the refillable package and spilled all over my work floor. Money not well spent.

Sad change of formula

I love this product, or at least I did; MAC changed the packaging and I assume something about the formula. I’ve used this powder for YEARS, the exact same shade, but with the recent update in packaging, which I love, must have came a change in formula. The color is too dark for me and the texture is awful. It feels too thick and makes me pores look huge. I (which I lovet looks cakey no whereas before it was very smoothing and mattifying. Super sad.

Buy if you like huge pores

I have extremely oily skin so I thought this would be great especially given the reputation of MAC however, this is terrible. I never reach for this and it makes your pores look so noticeable and huge. Considering the fact that this is for oil control and most people targeted for this have oilier skin therefore bigger pores, this should have had some pore minimizing formulation involved but no. Not to mention it makes you look so cakey, I thought to purchase this for a no makeup look, yeah no......

I have used this powder for 15 years! When it got reformulated, I wasn't happy at first... until I tried it with the included sponge.
