Smell is…interesting
This product arrived damaged so I didn’t use it much beyond swiping a little on the back of my hand. That being said, I’m almost grateful I didn’t go right in on applying to my face. I found it strangely drying on my hand - the ‘shine’ from initial application didn’t last very long. And I personally found the smell reallyyyyy off-putting. I don’t think I could handle having it anywhere near my nose all day. I would say unless you’re super interested in these particular ingredients, you’ll probably find a face oil you like better in another face oil.

I love this facial oil! I have sensitive acne prone oily skin that easily scars with hyperpigmentation. I was hesitant to buy this, mainly because I have sensitive skin that doesn’t like oils. On top of that, I’m 40, starting to show signs of aging and now dealing with hormonal acne and all of the scarring that brings. I was looking for something that would moisturize my skin and provide some brightening. In less than 2 weeks my skin has changed!! My texture is smoothing out. I had some stubborn hormonal acne around my jaw line that is finally starting to shrink. My skin truly looks brighter. And not just because the oil is on my face, I mean even after it’s washed off my skin’s tone and brightness has improved. Even my husband asked what I’m doing differently!
In terms of usage, I apply a Korean toner and rice serum, moisturizer and then I put on this oil, followed by spf. With my sensitive skin I was concerned this would feel too heavy but surprisingly it doesn’t. Zero irritation and hasn’t caused any breakouts. My skin is supple and hydrated for hours. I do wait around 20 minutes after applying before doing makeup and I haven’t had any issues with my makeup separating or moving around. If you are thinking about getting this, go ahead and buy it. It does exactly what it says it will do and that doesn’t always happen with skin products.

I have the most sensitive, dry & dull skin. I live in NYC so the weather has done a number on my skin. I have tried many different oils and serums on my face just to break out and feel like my face was oily and heavy. Never moisturized. As I'm writing this i currently have the Soleil Daily brightening and texture smoothing vitamin C on. It is light, hydrating, and moisturizing. My skin immediately puckers up and brightened the minute I use this serum. I'm honestly blown away. It feels so light. I didn't break out, I can even see changes on my neck. I love the smell. Its not too strong or overwhelming. I can't believe I found something that works for my skin. I am officially a Katani girl. Take all of my money.
