I have very oily, acne-prone and rosacea-prone skin, and I wanted to love this product. It works for my fair, cool-neutral skin, so that's a pro. It leaves a matte finish and decent coverage (for an spf alone) for a couple hours, then looks more natural later on, which I like. Since I am acne-prone, though, this did not agree with my skin, and I had a lot of developing closed comedones despite using acne treatments daily. It could be irritation due to the vitamin c and botanicals, or just the base being heavy in silicones and a zinc oxide formula that dries down matte. Just a theory, I can't say for sure!
Despite this, I think it's a beautiful sunscreen that could work for those who aren't as sensitive or acne-prone as I am. If you have normal-oily skin and want a matte finish, it's great!

This was a miss
I was really looking forward to trying this sunscreen, but it just wasn’t the right fit for my skin. It has a very chalky texture that feels quite dry once applied, making it less comfortable to wear throughout the day. I also wasn’t confident in how well it blended or how effective the SPF protection was because of the finish. It may work better for someone with a different skin type, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations.

I honestly love this product so much, I sometimes even use it in the evening because I love the level of coverage and finish. It’s a nice light coverage, enough to cover redness and uneven skin tone. I have a fair/light cool/neutral skin tone and the tint is perfect. A lot of tinted sunscreens are too dark, too warm/orange, or both. It looks a bit grey or ashy when you first put it on but as it warms to your skin the color looks great (this is like 10 seconds, not a long wait at all). Looks and feels great on the skin even when you use the appropriate amount (1/4tsp) - a lot of tinted sunscreens look insane if you use enough to actually get SPF. Doesn’t make me break out or irritate my skin. I wish it were higher SPF than 30, and it’s not water or sweat resistant. But if you’re looking for a daily sunscreen this is excellent.

Very drying! If you have oily skin, I could see this being a good sunscreen for you, but for people w normal/dry skin, I would avoid this sunscreen. I like a lot of other Paula’s Choice products but this is a miss for me.

My chosen sunscreen
Let me first describe my skin. I have light-medium, neutral complexion. My skin is combination - very oily nose, mildly oily forehead, dry cheeks, and dry around my mouth. I have sensitive eyes, so unfortunately cannot use chemical sunscreens. I live in Miami, so there is always some humidity.
This is the best sunscreen I’ve found. I use two finger fulls every morning, after moisturizer. I let it “dry” / settle for around 10 minutes, and the “tint” disappears. Then it is the best base for makeup.
I have tried dozens of sunscreens and this is the best for me.

I love this tinted sunscreen!
I've been using this product for the last couple weeks and it's beautiful. It blurs my pores, applies easily and smoothly, and dries down pretty quick to a soft matte finish. I don't feel I need more coverage after applying this sunscreen. I use a little concealer, blush, bronzer, and a very small amount of powder to set my t-zone. My makeup looks great all day and I don't have to touch up!
