Best setting powder doesn't settle in fine lines and I'm 52 makes skin look smooth

I frequently use setting powder (pretty much every day) because I get shiny throughout the day, and go through a lot because I use it almost every day, so I was excited to try this, especially since it's talc-free. It generally does what it says it does - noticeable difference in de-shining me, especially after application, but the lasting power varies. It definitely works pretty well for most of the day, but on one of the days, my boyfriend specifically pointed out that I was appearing very shiny that day, so it must not have worked well on that day. Other days that I checked myself, I appeared fairly matte after application and throughout the day - so I think it generally does what it needs to but the lasting power may not be the best on some days - it lasted a long time on the days I did check myself in the mirror at the end of the day, though! I don't know if it blurred imperfections (don't think it did a ton there but I don't expect setting powder to) or set makeup, since I mostly use it to deshine myself (especially since I use a very long-lasting setting spray that unfortunately leaves me with a bit too much shine). It blended in well with my light-medium skin tone (but these products usually do). I've attached a photo of the setting powder on me before and after - one half has it on and the other doesn't, and it's pretty obvious, so I was really happy about that! I also liked the packaging - it was interesting and came with a piece of plastic that says "keep this cover to keep me clean". I think it's to cover up the holes in the setting powder to keep it from leaking back into the case. It's a little annoying to fit into the holes when you're in a rush (so I usually just keep the original sticker that was on it and stick that back on) but it's a good idea for the packaging.
