Absolutely gorgeous color and formula… for the 5 minutes that it sticks around. It’s gone before I leave my house. Disappointing

It is a pretty color not super unique but pretty. The problem is it creases within an hour or so

I was so excited to try these, but I ended up being disappointed. In my experience, they only work well when applied with your finger, not with a brush, which makes them much less versatile if you like creating more elaborate eyeshadow looks. They really seem designed to be worn on their own with fingertip application. This is great if you are starting to learn how to do makeup or if minimal effort is your priority. They also didn’t layer well over my eyeshadow primer and started creasing after a normal day of wear. None of my other everyday shadows from drugstore or high end brands have creased in this little time, even when I primed my lids. These eyeshadows are almost too effortless, in the sense that you’re very limited in how you can use them. While they’re somewhat buildable, I found it difficult to achieve the intensity I was hoping for. At this price point, I expected better. The shade Pluie Violette is absolutely beautiful and unique, but I feel like I can only wear it on its own because it doesn’t blend well with other powder eyeshadows.

These eyeshadows very much remind me of growing up in Europe. The approach to makeup was laidback, a little goes a long way attitude, less is more, sort of lived in look, not the perfection seeking very strong makeup look that often dominates these days. Great looking bare skin was very much valued over any good makeup look. I purchased the Bois Brule colour and I love it, beautiful pigment, but not aggressively coloured. I apply it with my clean finger along the upper eyelash line in the morning after I apply dusting of KOSAS cloud set baked setting powder all over my face and my eyelids and some mascara. ( SPF 50 on my face first of course) It has a lived in kind of look that I love for work. I did build the colour up quite a bit with a brush for an evening out, a lovely, gentle smoky eye look. Both, the texture and the colour is beautiful. I’ll also buy the Lait au Cafe when it’s back in stock and Pluie Violette I’ll pick up this weekend, just for fun summer colour. Definitely worth my hard earned cash. I wish her Bisou Jelly lipsticks were not so incredibly drying.

It's interesting reading negative and positive reviews for this eyeshadow; there seems to be a misperception of customer expectations versus the formula's intended goal. This is not a powder eyeshadow, so it doesn't behave like powder shadows do. This eyeshadow breaks what you'd typically expect from a powder shadow. Highly defined looks with techniques like multiple layers, cut creases, and deep, dark colors aren't the objective for this formula. They are simply not possible. This shadow is a translucent, creamy veil. It is an incredibly blendable, sheer, cream-to-powder product. Ideally, you apply it with your fingertip and blend one or several layers together. It is buildable, but will still remain translucent even after several layers. It makes an everyday, lived-in smokey eye look easily achievable. But it will always remain subtle and in the background. This shadow will never shout; it wasn't meant to shout. Following a small learning curve, I love it for how effortlessly I can achieve a quick eye look that is sophisticated yet very subtle. Additionally I brush a thin layer of setting powder on my hooded, oily lids to prevent any possibility of creasing or fading. So to make a long paragraph even longer. Don't expect this eyeshadow to perform like a powder shadows and you won't be disappointed.

Applied with my finger, tried with a brush on prepped eyelids and absolutely no pigmentation!Not worth it for the price point! The shimmer shades are very poor quality!

Lovely color and buildable in a lightweight pressed powder

Absolutely beautiful. Easy to apply and I get compliments every time I wear this eyeshadow. It really is impossible to mess this up. Apply with finger and you’re done. Beautiful packaging too.

It’s very blurring and smooth. Shade is more sheer if you use a brush but more pigment when using finger. I have dry lids so it doesn’t crease on me and I always use little setting powder first.

I loved this color. It’s a great pop of color but not overpowering. I didn’t notice issues with staying power but my goal is to look “natural +.” If you’re going for something more defined or dramatic, this might eyeshadow may not be a great option.
