I have fine hair but a lot of it. This product is advertised for fine hair but it’s really not. My hair tangled like crazy, especially near the roots!! I used 3 pumps which is what they recommend. My hair felt veryyyy coarse after blow drying which is too bad because I used a deep conditioning mask before applying that always leaves my hair feeling silky smooth. Do not recommend at all lol

I like the results this gave me, but THE SMELL. I can't get past it. My husband said it smelled like I sprayed lemon kitchen cleaner all over my head. If the scent went away eventually I would reach for this but it lingers for a while

I have slightly wavy hair- this brought out my waves, smells amazing but not too overwhelming. A must have in my daily hair routine. I put it in my hair right after washing and towel drying, scrunched, and let air dry.

Amazing for air drying my fine waves. It gives definition, hold without being crunchy, and shine.

The formula works WONDERS for my fine, straight hair. I would rate this 5 stars for function alone, but… the smell is absolutely horrendous. It smells like a bargain basement dollar store household cleaner and the scent doesn’t fully go away when the product dries. For such a luxe brand, I just don’t get it.

Absolutely horrible. My hair is even drier and frizzier than before. This product doesn’t deserve even one star. It promises silky smooth hair but does exactly the opposite. I didn’t receive a free product unlike most other reviews so this is an honest review. Don’t waste your money

I think this foam is AMAZING Doesn’t leave a sticky residue on your hands, smells great, and doesn’t leave hair crispy. Works as a heat protectant when styling my hair, absolutely love

I have fine, type 3A curls (redhead) and I've been using this with every wash for about three weeks as my main styling product. I love it and I will be repurchasing, maybe forever. It works best if you apply it to SOAKING wet hair and gently scrunch in. I use this after leave in conditioner and then I don't use any other stylers, so even though it's expensive, it's not so bad when you consider it takes the place of gel and/or oil from stacking products in a more complicated curl routine. I use around 10 pumps for my whole head, applied 3 pumps at a time per section. It air dries well, but does create more of a cast that way that needs to be scrunched out, especially around the roots. I usually use a diffuser and that also leaves a cast but it's not as intense (I think the heat may activate something). Since it is a mousse, it isn't as strong of a hold as a gel but for my hair it's all I need. I have very little frizz but a lot of body with this, and layered over leave in conditioner I swear this is the healthiest and most moisturized my hair has ever felt. (I have gotten multiple compliments!) It also continues to work for second and third day hair pretty well! You definitely get more frizz as the days go on, but the curls keep their shape well... and I'm lazy and don't wrap my head at night or anything. Personally, I'm fine with a little frizz sometimes, part of my vibe. I also love the smell of the Davines Oi line; it reminds me of a fav spa. To me, it smells rich, slightly woody, and clean with a little bit of powdery-ness. A very gender neutral smell. If you're a person who likes sweet, fruity smells, it's not for you. I'm a person who loves spa smells (like, one of my other fav smells is the classic Aveda smell) so Oi is one of my favorites. And my husband says it's a sexy smell, so!

I'm not usually bothered by the scent of products but this legit smells like floor cleaner and the scent lasts for days. It even stays on your hands after applying it. It's not something humans should ever smell like. It works okay, but doesn't provide enough shine, softness or body to overcome that smell.
