The first time I used it, it ended up taking almost 3 full days to dry, not even completely dry. I only put on one thin layer as a top coat because the coat seemed very runny, but it still ruined my manicure. The consistency was almost like a goo after it started to dry on my nails. I tried it one more time, and the same thing happened. I have never had a problem like this with a new top coat, Essie, or any other brand. Other Essie products I have not had problems with either; it seems to be just this product for me.

I have tried it 3 times now, its causing bubbling to my varnish. Never quite dries properly, marks even after a couple of hours. I dont know what Im doing wrong, the top coat I used previously was flawless. Very disappointed

Until I tried essie nail polish, I have never covered my nails with just one coat.

I'm so glad I bought this. It was an impulse buy but my nails have been the in the best condition they've ever been since I started using it. I typically have this, brittle nails. I've been able to grow them out and they're not breaking for once!

I love Essie nail products! I prefer the polish over the gel!

terrible top and base coat. literally MELTS the nail polish and makes it worse. would get any other brand but this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy that this is an all in one product - it makes the manicure &/or color last so much longer and its a lot easier not having to think about which clear coat is base or which is top- or having to use so many different bottles for 1 job. I can use this all on its own or with color and it holds up nicely. It makes a huge difference from using polish alone and makes it worth the time Im sitting down and doing the manicure myself since I know it will hold up long enough that it wont look like a botched job within a day or two. I think it would be a great addition to a gift basket for health & beauty items for a loved ones birthday or Christmas- and it would also be good to add to a mommy basket for a self care gift to the expectant mother at a baby shower. I wish more products would combine steps to save time and money- for me its a win win!

I have tried several nail strengtheners over the years: LA Colors, Sinful Shine, Finger Paints, Revlon, Kiss, Pro Strong, Sally Hanson, China Glaze, even Nail Tek. Someone on social media recommend Essie, so why not try yet another one? I applied 3 coats and it lasted a whole week! I threw out all the others.
