3-stars. Smells wonderful. I wished it detangled my hair better and made it smoother. It didn’t add any softness or slip to the hair. It’s not a bad mask but Amika’s hair mask is way better. Will not repurchase

Scent
Have this on a sample. The first time smell, is that of a man’s cologne. Used a second time, smells different now. The man smell is gone. Haven’t had enough of use to tell whether the product works or not.

A bit heavy
I really enjoyed this project the first few times, but then it really started weighing my hair down and creating build up on my strands even after rinsing. I think it’s suited to dense and thick hair while
I have medium density medium hair

So hydrating and delicious
It’s a luxurious, clean beauty treat tailored to different hair needs: the Babassu mask deeply hydrates, smooths frizz, and softens wavy or curly hair with nourishing oils and butters, while the Guava mask repairs damaged or color-treated hair, reducing breakage and split ends with antioxidant-rich guava and strengthening proteins. Both masks leave hair feeling soft, manageable, and healthy without silicones or harsh chemicals, making them excellent choices for anyone seeking effective, natural hair care.

Fragrance allergies - beware
If you have fragrance allergies, stay away. After five minutes on my hair, my throat and nose were itching and I got a sinus headache.

So pleased!!
I received this hair mask as a sample and loved it so much, I purchased the full size (and purchased a couple other products to try). Ceremonia’s signature scent is heavenly. Very gender neutral and warm.it doesn’t feel unnatural and is very lightweight. It’s made a difference after 2 yards for my fine, color treated hair. My split ends feel moisturizer. I’m excited to try their other products.

Great scent but too fragrant
I usually hate fragrance but LOVED this scent. However, it was incredibly potent and headache-y by the end of my hair wash. If they made it just a hint of the amazing scent I would buy it

It’s not doing anything and it smells so bad!
WHY DOES IT SMELL LIKE A BOWLING ALLEY
I DONT even think this has done anything to hydrate my hair. And the smell is bad! It smells like a smoker’s leather purse or bowling alley shoes. A mix of the two.

STRONG fragrance— definitely NOT clean
The first time I used this hair mask, I was in love. My hair felt incredibly soft—like salon-level soft. I thought I had finally found the one. But after a few more uses, I noticed my hair was getting greasy faster each time. Still, I kept going because, hey, soft hair is soft hair, right?
Then, the fragrance hit me. And I mean hit me. The scent is so overpowering that it actually gave me a headache. I brushed it off at first, but today was the last straw—after using the mask, my face got swollen, my eyes turned red and watery, and I felt completely irritated (literally). And the worst part? This product is labeled “clean” at Sephora, which is honestly misleading. No product with a fragrance this strong should be considered non-toxic.
I’ve attached a photo of my freshly blow-dried hair after using the mask—it looks so greasy, even though it’s clean. So, two stars. One for each time I actually enjoyed using it before realizing my hair was getting oilier and my skin was reacting. If you love strong scents, maybe you’ll be fine, but if you’re sensitive or looking for a truly clean product, beware.
