Positives: Does what it says except…

Soothes and smooths. Despite the price point, you don’t need a lot of this nicely absorbing night oil. I find that out of all its claims - it helps most with minimizing pores. Fine lines? Maybe. Temporarily at least… in the morning, my skin feels smoother.
Redness-reducing is debatable. I feel it actually can contribute (a bit) to redness but hardly like other retinoids or retinals can. However, and conversely - it’s not irritating for me and I find it soothing. Go figure. The nice thing is - I feel it is very hydrating and you don’t necessarily need to add a moisturizer and/or eye cream. But even when you do, it works well with other brands too (I use “clean by Sephora” moisturizers like Caudalie, Farmacy Honey Halo and even Sephora Collection).
Other reviewers complain about the scent. It is - unusual. I have a sensitive olfactory sense and can pick up “notes” in wine or perfumes that many can’t. But Luna drops’ scent is hard to decipher - not perfumey - no floral or woodsy anything, not chemical-ly. The upside is that I do not feel it’s a strong smell and fades very quickly. But scent is complex and has unique effects on every individual.

So Good, I Decided to Write a Review
This is my first retinol product. I was so scared because for some reason I was having the worst breakout of my life. I've tried the calming products, products for acne, moisturizing products, no product...it was a lot but this breakout has been going on since the start of this year and I've never experienced acne like this before. I've been told with retinol products, you usually go through a rough phase for your skin to adjust to it at first. Hence why it was not on the top of my list of products to try. Eventually I was fed up and decided to give this a try. I started and have been using 4 drops every night. The scent is...different, but not good or terrible to me.
I woke up after thr firdt night of using it and oh my god. I have never had my skin react so positively to ANY product in my life. My acne significantly calmed down overnight. My acne scars even looked smoother. I was completely astonished. I thought my skin was gonna pull an uno reverse at some point but no. Still is helping keep my skin smooth. I actually look forward to my nighttime routine because I get to put the Luna Night Oil on. Now, it isnt some miracle product, but my breakouts have been reduced to almost none or very, very small pimples I don't even see half the time. Skin is so much calmer and it was worth the investment for me. I honestly wish I had before and after pictures to add to this review but I never thought of taking pictures of my breakout when it was bad. Kinda was the last thing I wanted to do, haha.

I got this as a gift and I was really looking forward to trying this out. However, when I put it on I got this AWFUL smell. It smelled as if I had drank and thrown up all over myself. I thought I could deal with it but the smell was so bad I started to gag and immediately washed my face. If you’re sensitive to smell or have thrown up after drinking, do not buy this. Not for everyone but a stellar product
So I kept buying the travel sized good genes/retinol sets and seemed to always get a small sized bottle of Luna Oil.
I've had bad experiences with oils that claimed not to clog pores and cause acne and was terrified to use this!
After reading a lot of good reviews I decided to be brave and try it on my forehead. My T-zone is oily and Ive always struggled with larger pores on my cheeks and occasional breakouts so I still haven't used it in that area...but back to my forehead.
After a few days consistent use, I noticed that it started to get that "glass look" The fine lines I was starting to get just weren't there anymore!
I think this product is great but not for all skin-types as it clai¹4ms. I'd recommend using it on dry/normal non-porous skin. And I'd personally advise against using it on large pores and blenish prone skin.

Absolutely love this oil. About a year and a half ago, the right side of my face started to have a few larger and damaged pores for no reason and did not match my left which has no issues or noticeable texture (I am not acne-prone, nor have I had any issues in the past so I am assuming this was just age-related). I've been using this oil for only a week every other day and it's already started to make a huge difference. The skin texture on my right side now is becoming more even with my left. I also LOVE the way this smells - it's like herbal blackberries to me. I could do without the dye so maybe a half point off for that. But I am obsessed, nothing I've tried so far has been able to fix my pores. A huge plus is that it's erased the really fine lines I was starting to get on my forehead as well!
