I just received it today; it has a strong Plastic note that almost made me throw up. I was super disappointed, especially after the hype I saw on TikTok 

While this product smells amazing and reminds me of my Caribbean roots of Kola champagne soda, there is a massive packaging issue. The item arrived leaking all over the package. I think Brown girl Jane needs to revisit the packaging for this product.

I absolutely love the scent, it reminds me of pineapple mixed drink you would have in summer. Great summer scent. For a body mist I don't expect it to last long but this fades in less than 2 hours if not shorter. I have other body mist that last much longer to my surprise. I would love this as perfume or would love it to be longer lasting. rated 3 for the price and scent fades fast. I would still recommend for the scent alone.

The smell is in the name. It’s a very sweet smelling scent that is somewhat reminiscent of a pineapple Fanta, in a good way. This is in line with a vacation type scent, in my opinion. However, it’s noticeably different from the last body mist launch. I was expecting the same packaging and quantity or at the very least a slight change but not something significantly different. You get 50 mL less of product, packing that leaks, letters that easily rub off which I assume is from the leaking and handling. The leaking was probably somewhat my fault because I accidentally had the box upside down for a little bit but I don’t think it should’ve had that much of an impact. I enjoy the scent but the packaging was too much of a distraction to me because it wasn’t consistent or an improvement from the last launch. I’m hoping the quantity is in line with just general inflation because you are paying the same amount for less product. Overall, for me, I wish the fragrance didn’t lost in the review of this product. It’s not that I wouldn’t recommend it but just understand what it comes with.

This is a go to scent for me! Its lightweight and pairs really well with other BGJ fragrances. It has become a staple in my routine before I head out the door. Ive got so many compliments on the way my hair smells.

Another hit from BGJ! ‘Kola Sun’ is divine in every way. Please consider this one of official scents of the summer. Additionally, I love the new bottle and cap. Much better quality packaging than last year’s mist (L’uau). anyway, 10/10!!!!
