I accepted the chance to blind try this product and am so glad I did. I have naturally curly hair. While at work I prefer to have it pulled back. The constant battle is the fly aways. I use a smoothing stick around the hairline. The humidity has been awful so I decided to try this to help keep my pulled back hair smooth. Frizz free without a white cast, flaking or helmet head syndrome. My teen also reports she likes using it when she curls or flat irons her hair. Her hair feels soft and is shiny. We both enjoy the scent. Glad we were able to try a free sample of a product we have now made a staple for us.

I love this mist, it's fine and dry, so doesn't make my hair "steam" while using heat tools. My hair was left soft without any sticky residue. Great addition to my hair routine!

I’ve used the Paul Mitchell heat protectant a couple of times now for both hair straightening with a flat iron and for just drying hair with a hair dryer and it’s made the end result much better for me! My hair is slightly wavy and that usually leads to a lot of frizz, but I definitely had much less frizzing, if any, when I used the heat protectant. My hair ended up looking much smoother and shinier and thankfully I did not feel any product residue afterwards (my hair gets greasy faster with most hair products I use, so this was a pleasant bonus that there was no residue and therefore no extra product to weigh down my hair and make it greasy). Overall pretty happy with the final look of my hair and effectiveness of the product!

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I liked the spray format because it applied as a fine, dry mist instead of making my hair feel wet before heat styling. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good fit for my hair. It left my hair feeling dry and sticky, and I didn't notice any improvement in humidity resistance or frizz control. For reference, I have african american hair that I wear straight, so humidity protection is important to me. I won't be reaching for this again, but it may work better for someone with different hair goals or a different hair type.

Must have for all hair types
This product held my curls really well throughout the day. Used it on curly hair as a finish before diffusing and using a curling iron to emphasize some curls. Held all my curls so that they lasted and looked fantastic!

I received Paul Mitchell Hot Off The Press Heat Protectant Spray as a free sample, and I'm so glad I got the chance to try it because now I'm hooked!
I've been using it on my dry hair before straightening and flat ironing, and the difference in my hair is noticeable. My strands feel softer, look shinier, and I'm not seeing the frizz and damage I used to deal with after styling. It sprays on evenly without leaving any sticky or greasy residue, which was a huge win for me.
What I love most is that a little goes a long way — one or two spritzes covers my whole head. It also smells amazing and doesn't weigh my hair down at all. Whether you use heat tools occasionally or every single day, this is a product worth having in your routine.
The only drawback for me is that it's not great on wet hair...
