I disagree with the review that says a bristle is missing. It is for ventilation. The brush is absolutely well made.

Love this brush
Just an fyi that missing bristle is needed for the brush. It's an air hole that helps with ventilation and allows water to drain, which keeps the brush hygienic and helps it dry faster. The metal bristles are heaven on my itchy scalp.

The missing bristle hole is so the brush can vent
The brush is adorable and amazing and works. The little empty hole is so the brush can vent ….all cushioned hairbrushes have that little hole, it is intentional so it allows air to move in and out from behind as you brush :)
It’s commonly called an air hole or vent hole. Its main purpose is to allow air to move in and out from behind the rubber cushion as you brush. When you press the brush against your hair and scalp, the cushion flexes; without a vent, the trapped air would make the cushion too stiff or could eventually damage it.

Beautiful Brush. Not missing bristle.
Such a beautiful brush. Specially for baby hairs. The black end reminds me what no used to use for junior high to slick back all the hairs since it was school rules hehe tho I would them for $3 in Mexico. For the reviews about missing a bristle come on. The other side is a cushion brushes. Cushion brushes are always missing a bristle right at the bottom centre. It is a design, a ventilation hole in these type of brushes. Because let’s air flow when pushing down onto the scalp. Since it is a “cushion brush” it allows to be more gentle on your hair. Also if you wash your brush well that’s where the water flows. It is not a coincidence that more than one brush is missing the exact same bristle o.o the colour so beautiful.

Keep looking
For some context: I have fine, wavy hair. The wired side is pretty rough on the scalp, there was sharp pressure points. The boar bristles are cheap because they made my hair frizzy. Actual boar bristles will make your hair smooth & distribute your hair pls throughout your hair. This did not do that. I would look fo a different brush if you are in the market.

There’s supposed to be a hole there so don’t let the other reviews deter you from purchasing. It’s an adorable brush! On the smaller size but perfect go on the go. The pink is so cute I feel like a Barbie
when I use it! I have curly hair and the metal side detangles my curls out the shower phenomenally and the boar bristles slick my hair back beautifully.

Missing bristles both times
I wanted to love this brush, but it arrived with one of the metal detangling bristles missing. Unfortunately, its replacement arrived missing the exact same bristle. I don't live close enough to a proper Sephora store to go in and look at each brush to find one that is not defective, so I am giving up. A shame, as it works well on my hair, and would save space when traveling.
