I have very thick frizzy hair and this could not slick my hair back. The handle and size is perfect but I don't think its strong enough and won't penetrate even the top layer of my hair.

I don’t like how’s it’s completely flat. Would be better if it was slightly rounded for slick backs on curly hair.

Great for smoothing grays and making them shiny. It truly is wonderful for the ends of my hair, as they’re super frizzy as I had coarse hair before the gray hair. For that part, it’s the best brush I’ve ever had. The reason for the low marks, though, is I have very dense hair and literally would have to part it into about 50 pieces, in order to have it thin enough to brush through my hair. I don’t know if it needs to be so tight in order to get that shiny smooth, look, but the only thing it is good for is after I’ve done all my other brush work, smoothing the top outside of my do if it’s slick back and making the ends look smoother. It literally has no use for anything else, unfortunately. If the bristles were longer, and so I could get it through my hair even a little bit more, I would absolutely say this brush is worth it. I really hope they can figure it out because it’s very wonderful, but I’m buying a brush for the top five hairs on my head. Literally for that first five hair layer.

I have fine 3C curls and this brush doesn’t grab ANYTHINGGGG! I have better use out of a $5 teasing comb from Amazon for slick backs. Don’t waste your money.

I was excited to try the Pattern Double Brush for slicking back curly hair, but it didn’t work as expected. The brush is too big and bulky for my hair, making it hard to use. It doesn’t smooth or slick hair the way it claims, and overall it feels like it doesn’t deliver on its promise.

I love this brush for slickbacks!!!!!! One side is perfect for combing and the other side is awesome for smoothing. I’ve had this brush for a year now and it’s still in perf condition

I purchased this brush months ago, but wanted to use it for the first time a few days ago. It had a horrible smell. I’m really not sure, but it smelled like mildew. I wanted to love it, but threw it away!
