Made my hair fall out in literal clumps. I’ve never had it happen before. Thought it might’ve been because I was shampooing upside down, tried a second time and then tried a third time going extra gentle, and each time there was a large amount of hair fall, more than even when I was post partum

Good product, weird smell
The product is good, but it smells really weird. I’m not sure if I’ll keep it.

This shampoo is full of grit.
Actual crunchy grit. Scrubbing against the base of your hair follicles. Every time I’ve used this I have massive amounts of fallout. Maybe some of y’all have super hair that likes abrasive scrubbing, but it’s a no from me.

Just okay
I like that this is gentle, but it doesn’t do enough of anything for me. It’s not super clarifying, my hair still feels dirty. And it’s not great for moisture retention either. Also there are like exfoliating beads which I wasn’t expecting. Not super ideal for curly hair as it was annoying to wash out. There’s better shampoos out there

The very best out there.
I've been using Curlsmith Curl Reset Detox Shampoo for a few months now, and I genuinely love it—it's become a non-negotiable part of my curly hair routine. As someone with [insert your curl type, e.g., 3B/3C curls or whatever fits you] that gets weighed down by products pretty quickly (especially gels, oils, and leave-ins), this shampoo is a total game-changer.What I love most:It deep cleans without that stripped, squeaky-dry feeling you get from harsher clarifiers. My curls come out feeling light, bouncy, and revived—like they've just woken up fresh. The peppermint oil gives this amazing cooling, tingly scalp massage that feels so refreshing (almost spa-like), and it helps calm any itchiness or buildup irritation. The apple cider vinegar and ginger root combo really tackles hard water minerals and product gunk—I've noticed way less dullness and more shine after using it. It lathers beautifully (even on second-day or week-old curls), rinses out easily, and sets my hair up perfectly for styling. Definition pops, clumps form better, and my curls just look healthier overall. I use it about once a week or every 4–5 washes as a reset, and it never overdoes it on moisture—my hair stays soft and hydrated when I follow with a good conditioner or mask. The minty-fresh scent is invigorating without being overpowering. If you're dealing with product buildup, hard water, or just want your curls to feel "reset" and alive again, this is worth every penny. Highly recommend—it's easily one of the best clarifying shampoos out there for curly hair in 2026!

If you have fine, oily, hair that is easily prone to build-up, like most Curlsmith products, this is not the shampoo for you. We need the chelating shampoos that feel like they’ll remove paint off of a barn lol (e.g. Bb Sunday).

Awesome cleansing shampoo
This shampoo is excellent for cleansing and doesn’t strip hair moisturize at all!! It lathers up really nicely. I use it twice for an extra deep cleanse. The scent is also really pleasant and not too strong. It really helps for scalp health too.

Cleanest scalp I've ever had
Ok so my scalp has never felt cleaner than after this shampoo. It's also a refreshing mint scent which makes it smell so good and fresh and clean I can't say enough how much this helps with the buildup of all the curly products I use almost daily
