Not sure how long it will last. Since opening out of package, when I open and close the clip using the handle, it makes a squeaking noise. My other clips from emi jay don’t do this. Looks like this one made poorly or defective spring. I saw other reviews of broken clips as well.

I have a lot of hair, it’s longish and straight so when I try to put all of it up like in one of the pictures, I have to put the clip sideways instead of just directly over like I normally would, but it still holds all day! it’s so pretty in person!

Mine was unfortunately broken.

Perfect work clip
I'm absolutely obsessed with these clips (originally bought them on the brand's own website)! have 2 colours and will definitely purchase more, because they're worth it. I've got very long, wavy hair that needs to stay anchored for hours at a time. I'm an EMT as well as in nursing school, so need my hair to stay securely up and away without pulling too much or messing up my waves like my traditional ballet bun does after a few hours -- the option to take it down and quickly re-do to give my scalp a break is also important. I've had many claw clips before, which were all too small, too slippy, too grippy, or broke after just a few uses. These are big enough for my long hair without being heavy, anchor well, and the reinforced hinge noticeably improves the durability. I wish they were less expensive, but I can still justify the purchase because they're just that great!

I am not often compelled to write reviews however this clip just does not do what it was marketed as. I have long, lower back length, hair that’s is on the thinner side. All of my can fit easily in one hand. This clip was NOT large enough to hold all of my hair up. It couldn’t even clip on, much less stay up. If you have long hair I recommend looking at larger clip brands like Chunkz.
