Embarrassing outcome purchasing via Blue Mercury
They sent me a bottle that had obviously been a return. The packaging wasn't wrap sealed which didn't strike me instantly as a problem. So I wrapped it and gave it as a gift. On Christmas I was horrified when my niece opened the box and the inside cardboard holding the bottle had been ripped apart, the ribbon that comes around the bottle and the booklets were stuffed in the side of the box, the bottle's wood was chipped and it even felt pretty light like the person whom returned it had used it more than once. I unfortunately bought it black friday weekend, too late to return it, but even so it was already embarrassing enough without making a deal about it around the Christmas tree and taking it back from my niece to attempt to return it. I will not shop at Blue Mercury again. There are just too many reputable cosmetic stores that have never sent me unchecked, used merchandise. That's probably why it never occured to me to open the box to quality check the merchandise I was sent before gifting it.

The Only Scent I’ll Ever Need Again!
Bought this as it came highly recommended by Hayley Williams (of Paramore) and I always really love her recommendations. Anyway, this fragrance is my new obsession! It has staying power, and is such a unique, warm, spicy scent that evolves a bit throughout the day. I constantly find myself catching whiffs throughout the day and loving it even more. Love the packaging

The fact that use can reuse the wooden bottle holder made me really excited and the overall look of the packaging and bottle is great. However I feel like I smell like a music festival when I wear it. Its VERY earthy and Im not a fan of the scent.

I love it. Im addicted to it. Ive bought it 2 times already. People around me really like it too. Ive been asked many times, what is that amazing wood smell I always have. Some times I combine it with a soft fragrance like glossier you, if I want it to be more feminine. I always spray it in the neck and try to reach behind my ears and my hair. They ended up being out of stock on aroma, but had the refill so I agreed to sun with that. If youre wondering - the refill is totally functional as is, no additional packaging needed! Saved money this way. Fragrance is gorgeous - so many folks ask what Im wearing and I love it. Its a little fresh, its earthy, and I like it even better on the dry down.
