Why Mess With a Good Thing?
Twenty years or so ago, Aerin Lauder released three brilliant "Private Collection" perfumes: Tuberose Gardenia, Jasmine White Moss, and Amber Ylang Ylang. Only Tuberose Gardenia survived the chopping block, but at least we had that. Now we only have a watered down version, and endless wan iterations under the Aerin line. The brand is to be commended for hanging on to and preserving the quality of its heritage fragrances (and even the reworkings by Frederic Malle are very good), but I don't understand why Aerin Lauder, by all accounts someone who understands her legacy in many ways, keeps making such dunderheaded fragrance decisions otherwise. Her originals were in gorgeous bottles, toobejeweled caps for the perfume concentrations, hammered gold for the EDPs. These look cheap and common.

I have used Tuberose literally for years. The exotic gardenia fragrance garners a lot of compliments. It has become my signature fragrance. Previously by Est de Lauder, now under her granddaughters label Earin. Worth the cost.

Delicious
This is the best perfume I've ever had the pleasure of wearing. Everyone always tells me that I smell so good. Recently a gentleman at Church said I smell the fragrance of Gardenia and another flower. He said but don't tell me what it is. After thinking about it he said it's tuberose. He went on to tell me that it brought back so many great memories for him.
When people ask me to describe it I simply say it's "delicious ".
