Because it is all natural and no other processing, there is an earthy and nutty smell, but I find it dissipates after a few minutes of application and doesnt linger at all. I also have been applying to a scar I have and I have noticed improvement. Apply with a light hand on damp hair and my hair is so shiny and smooth, and applying on dry hair when I haven’t washed keeps it hydrated until I wash.
